The Japanese-style pool at the hotel was a bit small, but it's worth the wait. Once inside, the traditional Japanese ambiance and soothing hot spring water create a truly authentic experience. It's a great place to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring.
Although the outdoor hot springs at the resort need some updates, the newly renovated rooms make up for it. The spaciousness and modern amenities of the rooms are impressive.

It had newly renovated and new-fashioned rooms. I had a big bathroom. Location: the hotel was just off the mountain, the restaurant, and train station. Zhiben district was worth exploring.

Located in the scenic Chihpen area of Taitung County, this hotel offers a serene and picturesque environment. With a hot spring tub in the room and comfortable beds, relaxation is guaranteed. The lobby lounge provides good and reasonably priced food, while the local tribal dance show adds a touch of cultural entertainment to the stay. Guests can also enjoy the five hot spring pools with different mineral and herb blends, as well as water jets and a regular swimming pool.
The restaurant in the lobby was understaffed and chaotic, causing delays in service and frustration for guests.

The lunch was average, but the room service was decent. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, but it can get crowded during peak season. The staff was friendly and the hot spring facilities were diverse. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Chipeng Forest Park.

We got great value for our money at Hotel Royal! The room was super comfortable and the location was perfect for us with Chipeng Forest Park just a short walk away. The staff treated us like friends, especially Ms. Jessica Chiu who even gave us a sweet surprise for our anniversary!
The breakfast selection could have been better with more options to choose from.

The hot spring facility was fantastic - I enjoyed the variety of choices and the towels shaped like twin swans on my bed were a nice touch. The staff were very kind, especially Ms Jessica Chiu who went out of her way to be friendly and even gave me some sweet corn! The daily night show supporting aboriginal students' dance was fantastic. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near Chipeng Forest Park, which made for a great outing.
Everything great.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Royal! The highlight was definitely the amazing tribal dance performance that we got to witness in the lobby. The dancers were incredibly talented and it was such a unique cultural experience. The room was well-equipped and the hot spring tub was a delightful bonus. Despite a few minor drawbacks, overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

We chose this hotel for our Easter getaway as it was close to the hot springs and had a nice view. The staff were friendly and offered us complimentary drinks and snacks upon arrival. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which offered a variety of dishes to choose from.
They were not well-maintained and didn't seem to be very clean. The outdoor hot spring area was not inviting and looked more like a playground for children rather than a relaxing spa.

Wow! What an amazing weekend getaway! the free breakfast and in-room refreshments were a pleasant surprise. the hotel's location provided breathtaking views and was peaceful and quiet. the hot springs were great; we enjoyed trying out the different temperature pools and saunas. the traditional dance performance in the evening was really well done and added to the overall experience. Definitely a hotel I would come back to.
Honestly, we couldn't find anything to complain about! the elevators were a bit small, but that's to be expected in a hotel of this size.

Great hospitality and hot spring facilities! Special surprise for our anniversary, with cute swan towels. Friendly staff, especially Jessica Chiu. Enjoyed the nightly aboriginal dance show. Family-friendly facilities, including indoor/outdoor hot baths and pools. Archery was fun. Spacious room. Good breakfast buffet, but go early to avoid queues. a solid 7/10.
